Pacific MusicWorks

Seattle-based Pacific MusicWorks is a musical production company focused primarily, but not exclusively, on the presentation of vocal chamber music and operatic works of the 17th and 18th centuries. In recent years we have also committed ourselves to commissioning new works written for period instruments as a means of bridging the stories of the past with those of today.

We believe everyone should be able to experience the beauty and power of music. PMW extends its community through extensive programming of events at community venues and other non-traditional venues. Our newest initiative, which removes financial barriers to access, is a series of free-to-the-public concerts on the first Wednesday of each month at Christ Our Hope Church at the Josephinum in downtown Seattle called Sanctuary in the City. These concerts gather a diverse audience– including local tech workers, passersby, retirees, school groups, and employees from other the nearby businesses. Sanctuary in the City cultivates a culture of congregation, community, reflection, and joy.
