Petro Krysa

Violinist Petro Krysa studied at the Manhattan School of Music, University of Toronto, and The Royal Conservatory (Toronto).

He has performed many solo and chamber music recitals in the United States and Europe, including concerts at Wigmore Hall (London), the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, Alice Tully Hall, Merkin Concert Hall, and Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall (New York City). Mr. Krysa's festival credits include Grand Teton Music Festival, Park City Chamber Music Festival, Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, Music Mountain Music Festival among others.

He founded and directed the Lake Winnipesaukee Music Festival (NH) from 1995 to 2002 and the Music at Whistler concert series from 2012 to 2014.

Mr. Krysa has collaborated as chamber musician with pianists Sergei Babayan, Scott Dunn, Vladimir Feltsman, Elizaveta Kopelman, Barry Snyder and members of Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Houston, Montreal Symphony Orchestras, St. Paul Chamber Orchestra and Orpheus Chamber Orchestra. Petro is a core member of the Vancouver Opera Orchestra in Vancouver, BC where he resides.

Mr. Krysa is also active in Seattle where he is a full-time member of the Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra and regularly appears with local funk, jazz, and rock bands.

Mr. Krysa performs on a rare 300-year-old Italian violin made by Alessandro Mezzadri as well as NS Design 5-string electric violin.
