Jaime Amador
Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Jaime Amador began his studies in the String Program for Children at the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music as a student of Francisco Figueroa and Guillermo Figueroa. He was accepted to The Juilliard School, where he worked under Toby Appel.
Doyle Armbrust
Chicago violist Doyle Armbrust graduated with honors from Northwestern University and went on to study with Donald McInnes at the University of Southern California where he earned a Masters Degree in Viola Performance.
Heather Bentley
Violist Heather Bentley has dedicated herself to chamber music, both as a performer and as an educator. In 2014, she co-founded the North Corner Chamber Orchestra (NOCCO), a conductorless orchestra that, in its three seasons, has produced over twenty concerts and commissioned two new important chamber orchestra works by Hanna Benn and Sean Osborn.
Timothy Christie
Violinist and violist Timothy Christie enjoys a multifaceted career as performer, teacher, public speaker and recording artist. He is the Founder and Artistic Director of the Walla Walla Chamber Music Festival (WWCMF), a nonprofit organization in southeastern Washington presenting more than 40 public chamber music events annually.
William Frampton
Violist William Frampton has been praised by critics for his “impressive” performances (The New York Times) and “a glowing amber tone” (The Boston Globe). Since his New York recital debut in 2009 at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, William has enjoyed a career of diverse performances around the world as a chamber musician, soloist, orchestral player, and teacher.
Benjamin von Gutzeit
Benjamin von Gutzeit, one of only a handful of true jazz violists worldwide, was born in Bochum, Germany, into a musical family. His father is a well-known music pedagogue; his mother a pianist and two of his siblings are classical string players.
Fung Chern Hwei
An in-demand musician in North America who is based in New York City, Fung Chern Hwei is an acclaimed violinist, violist, composer and arranger. He is the current member of Sirius Quartet, a string quartet that focuses on performing self composed music and improvisation, and Seven)Suns, which performs extreme music rooted in the language of avant-metal and hardcore rock music.
Linda Kline
Linda Kline is the Professor of Viola at Boise State University, where she also serves as Department Chair for Music. In the summer, she teaches and performs at the Interlochen Summer Arts Camp in Michigan.
Aimée McAnulty
Argentine-American violist Aimée McAnulty is an Ensemble Member of the Ivalas Quartet. Aimée is a recent graduate of the University of Michigan, having studied with Yizhak Schotten and has recently been accepted to the University of Colorado-Boulder, to study under the world-renowned violist Geraldine Walther.
Angela Pickett
Angela Pickett has performed as a violist, violinist, and fiddler throughout North America and Europe. A member of the Princeton Symphony, Angela has also performed with Wet Ink Music, Ne(x)tworks, Continuum, and recently premiered a new version of Helmut Lachenmann’s Mouvement with the Argento Chamber Ensemble.
Laura Renz
Laura Renz, violist, is a member of the Pacific Northwest Ballet orchestra in Seattle, Washington. She also performs regularly with the Seattle Symphony and Seattle Opera.

Marcus Thompson
Marcus Thompson, violist, has appeared as soloist, recitalist, and in chamber music series throughout the Americas, Europe and the Far East. He has been a soloist with the orchestras of Atlanta, Chicago, Cleveland, Saint Louis; The National Symphony, the Boston Pops and the Czech National Symphony in Prague. He performed the west-coast premiere of the Harbison Viola Concerto with the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra; the Chicago premiere with the Chicago Sinfonietta, and the Boston premiere with the New England Conservatory Honors Orchestra.
