The Cerus Quartet consists of Roberto Campa on soprano saxophone, Laura Ramsay on alto saxophone, Philip Kleutgens on tenor saxophone, and Brian Kachur on baritone Saxophone.

The quartet won the Michigan Composition Prize with a performance of “Extrovert,” the first movement of Ambivert, a composition by Karalyn Schubring. “We commissioned Karalyn to write [Ambivert] over this past year, so it was incredibly special to be able to showcase it to win the competition.
